Staff

Members of the Salzburg College staff have worked with international students for many years. They provide the planning and the support system for your international study experience. They want you to have a wonderful and rewarding “time of your life”.

Marina Rendl

As Academic Director Dr. Marina Rendl, PhD is responsible for all academic apsects of our Salzburg College programs. Marina Rendl holds a MSc in Business Management and an MA in Philosophy from the Southern Federal University Russia. She received her PhD in Cognitive Science and went on the complete her habilitation in Social Philosophy at the Southern Federal University Russia. Once in Austria, Marina Rendl obtained her second Doctorate in Ethics/Phenomenology from the University of Innsbruck.
A world citizen, Marina Rendl is fluent in German, Russian, English, Latin, Ancient Greek, and Ukrainian. She is a multitasking problem solver and has been primarily engaged in strategy management and academic consulting in Russia, China and Western Europe. Her teaching expertise spans from philosophy, anthropology, to logic and management theory. She has published more than 50 scientific articles and books.

Phoebe Mayer

As Managing Director, Phoebe Mayer plans and coordinates all practical aspects of the Salzburg College programs. She works closely with Salzburg College partners and affiliates to ascertain a study experience that meets your individual needs and expectations.

Phoebe Mayer holds an MA and an MBA from the University of Salzburg and previously worked in academic and tourism management. As an Austrian and American citizen who was educated on both continents, Phoebe Mayer is well prepared to support you in your new cultural environment.

Molly Closson

As Programs Manager, Molly Closson works closely with faculty and students to establish a personalized academic program that fits your individual needs. You can count on her as your academic and personal advisor throughout your semester in Salzburg.

Originally from Ohio, Molly received a BA in German Studies from
Bowling Green University as well as a MS in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University.

If she is not lost in a book, she can be found trying a new recipe in the kitchen, singing Karaoke, running, skiing or hiking somewhere in the Austrian Alps.
