Next to her position as Academic Director of Salzburg College and as the Director of the InterCultural Center Dr. Breninger is also an adjunct professor at the Communication Studies Department of the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg. Past appointments have incuded positions at the UNO (Vienna), the Johannes Kepler University Linz, the Private Business University U:M and at the Paracelsus Private Medical University of Salzburg.

Her current focus in research lies on: Tracking the Cultural Gaze - Eyetracking technology applied to cultural studies. Dr. Breninger holds a Ph.D. in English and American Studies (Thesis in Cultural Studies and Gender) from the Paris Lodron University, Salzburg, Austria as well as an M.A. in Race and Gender from Oxford Brookes University, Oxford and a Mag.phil. in English and American Studies and Communication Studies from the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, Austria.
